Admission Procedure

  1. The admission process for all UG courses is made online from the academic year 2016-17 by Government of Telangana State and Osmania University . To take admission into a particular course the student has to register his name in DOST (Degree Online Services Telangana) website.
  2. For admission into P.G. the candidate should get through P.G. entrance exam and undergo P.G. counseling process. Out of 40 seats 20% i.e., 8 seats are Management seats.
  3. For Admission into Intermediate the candidate should qualify 10th class board exam.


  1. Marks Sheet of Qualifying Examination (Photocopy).
  2. Original UG Transfer Certificate.
  3. Migration certificate, Equivalence certificate (for UG & PG) , Eligibility certificate (for Intermediate Course).
  4. Bonafide and Conduct certificate from the college where last studied.
  5. Community certificate issued by MRO in case of the applicant belonging SC/ST/BC.
  6. Certificate if any of special proficiency, extracurricular activities including sports, games, NCC, NSS, Cultural etc.
  7. Physically handicapped, Ex-service man supporting evidence.
  8. Original Admit card of P.G. counseling for the students seeking admission through counseling.


  1. All selections are strictly provisional and are subject to confirmation only after the interview by the principal.
  2. List of selected candidates will be notified on the college Notice board.
  3. Selected candidates must produce the Original Certificates for verification by the selection committee at the time of interview.
  4. A candidate’s admission may be cancelled at any time during the course of his or her study if any discrepancy is found after admission with regard to community, marks statements etc.,
  5. A candidate provisionally selected for admission will forfeit his or her seat if
    1. The original documents and certificates at the time of admission are not submitted.
    2. The above original documents and certificates are found defective or manipulated.
    3. He/ She fails to pay the prescribed fee within the given time.

Rules Of Admission

The following rules will be followed at the time of admission into a particular course.

  1. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination (IPE)/10+2 with less than 40% marks in the Science subject are not eligible into the B.Sc. Course.
  2. 60% of the seats in B.Com. will be reserved for candidates who have studied and passed the qualifying examination with Commerce subject and the remaining 40% of the seats are made available to all the candidates including Commerce in order of merit.
  3. 50% of the seats in B.A. are reserved for the candidates who have studied at least one subject under Social Sciences or humanities at Intermediate level and the remaining 50% seats will be filled in by candidates who have passed with other combinations or other faculty subjects.


  1. Seats for SC/ST/BC/Physically handicapped/Ex servicemen/Games and sports/NCC and NSS/Non local and other categories of candidates are reserved as Government rules.
  2. Candidates who wish to secure admission under reserved categories have to submit the caste certificate as per G O Ms. No. 68 dated 6th June 1997 indicating their category by competent authorities.


At the time of admission students should pay the prescribed tuition fee and special fee in full. The Fee should be remitted through challan in the SBH through Nallakunta, Hyderabad. The challan forms will be supplied by the college office as per the admission slip issued by the selection committee.

Semester Examinations

  1. There will be two semesters in each academic year.
  2. Final examinations are conducted at the end of each semester
  3. There will be no detention at the end of first, third and fifth semester.
  4. There will be detention at the end of the second and fourth semester.
    1. If a student fails in more than 50% of the total papers of first and second semester, he will be detained at the end of the second semester.
    2. If a student fails in more than 25% of first, second, third and fourth semester put together, he will be detained at the end of fourth semester.

Second Languages Offered

The college offers Hindi, Sanskrit & Telugu as second language.


A minimum of 75% of attendance is compulsory for the students who appear for the semester examinations and for obtaining scholarships.

Internal Assessments

Students are required to write two internal assessment examinations in each paper, in each subject as a part of continuous internal evaluation The maximum marks in each paper are ten and the average of the marks of two internal assessments will be taken into account for the final examination results.

Final Examination (Each Semester/Evaluation)

  1. The maximum marks in the theory paper in each subject or each paper are 80 and marks for the internal assessment are 20.
  2. The students have to get a minimum 40% to pass in the examination of each paper.
  3. The students are required to complete a project work in a subject of their choice in their sixth semester (Final year).

General Rules

  1. When a student joins the college, he/she is expected to abide by the rules in force.
  2. A student is expected to behave decently with all members of the teaching staff, office staff and all supporting staff and with other students.
  3. A student should refrain from loitering in the corridors or standing in the open areas.
  4. Every student should carry his/her identity card daily.
  5. If a student is absent from the college more than 15 days continuously without leave of absence, his/her name will be removed from the rolls.
  6. Students who are granted admission will be required to pay the entire college fee of the year in advance, otherwise they will not be allowed to attend the classes and they will not be allowed to write the annual examination.
  7. From 2017-18 Biometrics machines will be installed to record the attendance of the students. The attendance will be recorded in the morning and in the afternoon again. According to latest Govt. rules, students having less than 75% attendance will not be considered for any kind of scholarship or concessions applicable as such.
  8. Students falling short of 75% attendance are not eligible for scholarships.


The discipline and attendance committee comprising of the class in charge and senior lecturers ensure the strict discipline of students of the respective classes.

  1. The students are required to attend all the classes including extension lectures and seminars regularly.
  2. The student should come to the college decently dressed.
  3. The student should maintain discipline in the class room as well as in the college campus.
  4. Students should not use mobile phones in the college campus and class rooms. If they are found using mobile phones, they will be liable for punishment.
  5. Students misbehaving in the class room or in the college campus will be severely punished.
  6. The parents/guardians of the students whose progress and behaviour is not satisfactory are required to meet the principal every month.
  7. Students are required to observe discipline at all times in the college and should not make noise while moving from one class to another.
  8. Spitting on the walls and floors, throwing waste paper and use of plastic bags within the college premises is prohibited.
  9. Students are prohibited from organizing any meetings or entertainment programmes in the college or collecting money for any purposes.
  10. The principal has the right to suspend or dismiss any student who is found guilty of serious misbehaviour.

The college is not only concerned with the academic growth of the student but also endeavours to enable each student to attain their maximum potential and to acquire self discipline, sound morals and a deeper sense of personal and social responsibility. The college considers all extra curricular activities as an integral and important part of the college education. Thus every student is expected to take active participation in activities like Literary competitions, Debates, Creative writing programmes, Cultural programmes, Seminars, Sports and Athletics etc., The details are given below.

Diploma Courses offered by the college courses

  1. Diploma in Translation (Proposed) :

Relevance and importance of the Course/Diploma

Though one year diploma in Translation and Functional Hindi is being run by Osmania University and Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha in the evening from 5 PM to 8.30 PM, the syllabus taught in the above mentioned colleges/institutions deals with different relevant subjects but perfection is not seen in the candidates qualifying this diploma. The knowledge of Source and Target language is lacking in the candidates. . The candidate is to be trained and made perfect in these two languages. The teacher is supposed to have enough experience, knowledge and patience to teach and train the candidates. The newspapers always need skilled, capable and qualified translators who can translate from English to Hindi or Telugu and vice versa. Well trained and qualified Translators can always get accommodated in the Newspapers or offer their services to any other organization that requires translators.

Keeping the above parameters in mind, Hindi Mahavidyalaya has planned to educate candidates who are really interested in learning the art of translation. The candidates will be imparted training to translate various forms of Literature, Banks, Insurance, Railway, Defense, Law, Science and Technology, World of Advertisement (Both electronic and print media). Accounts and other important departments.

Moreover the college library has sufficient reference books related to Translation and Functional Hindi.

Computer Skills

Every year all the degree students are given free computer training, which include basics of computers and internet and certificates are provided at the end of the course.

Diploma in Taxation and Diploma in Professional Accountancy :

Today when other popular combinations and courses have reached a saturation point, the commerce stream is still relevant and popular one. The syllabi of both the courses/diplomas has been framed in such way that the candidates qualifying these diplomas will get employment immediately. The Commerce students can simultaneously pursue these courses which will enable them for better job opportunities after their graduation.

We have successfully run a diploma course in practical accountancy. The syllabus of the course was designed by renowned chartered accountants keeping in view the real time requirement of the accounts. The response for the course was makeable.

Spoken English Course :

All the UG students are offered free spoken English courses to face the job interviews.

Spoken Sanskrit Course :

Free spoken Sanskrit course are conducted by experienced faculty twice a week.

Beautician Course :

All the UG Girls students are offered free beautician course and certificates are issued to all the students on the completion of the course.

Dress Designing Course :

We have successfully offered Dress Designing Course, in which we have trained students in designing and stitching dresses, blouses etc. sewing machines were also provided to the students in the college. Certificated were issued to the students at the completion of the course.
